Some paintings emerge rather quickly, while others unfold through layers of seeking and meandering, getting lost and responding to what the painting reveals along the way.

Familiar subjects begin to shift, moving beyond the resemblance of their initial source to become an embodiment of the thrill, optimism, and allure that first ignited the process.
