Created during an artist residency in Barga, Italy, this contemporary abstract painting grew out of being immersed in the colors, textures, and rhythms of everyday Italian life. From the surrounding landscape and historic architecture to shared meals, weathered doorways, and the small devotional shrines known as edicole, the experience offered an endless source of inspiration. Working directly from observation and memory, these impressions are translated into expressive compositions that move between representation and abstraction, capturing not simply the appearance of a place, but the feeling of being there.
This painting is unstretched and will ship rolled. It is set in an AI generated setting and frame for visualization purposes.
